Hemp milk, a new way to have breakfast

Hemp milk may be a popular plant-based alternative to cow’s milk. It’s made of hemp seeds and is rich in high-quality plant protein, healthy fats and minerals. Drinking hemp milk may benefit skin health and protect against cardiopathy.

What is hemp milk?
Hemp milk is formed by blending water with the seeds of the hemp plant, marijuana.
However, hemp milk and other products made of hemp seeds don't cause mind-altering effects like marijuana and only contain trace amounts of the psychoactive compound tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Hemp milk has an earthy, nutty flavor and a creamy consistency. It may be utilized in place of cow’s milk in, for instance, smoothies, coffee and cereal. You can make it also at home.

Hemp Milk Nutrition
Hemp milk is extremely nutritious and loaded with proteins and healthy fats. In fact, it has more protein and healthy fats than other popular plant-based forms of milk, including rice and almond milk. Compared to whole cow’s milk, hemp milk has fewer calories, less protein and carbs but roughly the identical amount of fat. In addition to those present nutrients, commercial hemp milk is commonly fortified with calcium, phosphorus and vitamins A, B12 and D. However, it should also contain added sugar, salt, thickeners or other additives. Finally, hemp milk is of course freed from soy, lactose and gluten, making it a decent option for those who need or want to avoid these components.

Health Benefits
Studies on hemp seeds and hemp oil suggest that there are several health benefits from eating foods made of the hemp plant. Since hemp milk is created from hemp seeds, it's going to theoretically offer similar benefits, though research specifically on the advantages of hemp milk is lacking.

How to Use Hemp Milk
Hemp milk can be utilized in place of cow’s milk and added to your diet in some ways. It is freed from soy, gluten and lactose and an honest choice for those that avoid dairy or follow a vegan diet. Hemp milk can be consumed on its own or added to hot and cereal, food and smoothies. Due to its creamy consistency and protein content, hemp milk is superb for creating lattes, cappuccinos and other coffee drinks.
Keep in mind that although hemp milk be used as a substitute for cow’s milk, it has a very different and nuttier flavor.
